Sitting With the End: A Death Doula’s Perspective with Darnell Lamont Walker

In this episode, I’m joined by Darnell Lamont Walker, a death doula, Emmy-nominated children’s television writer, producer, and explorer. Darnell creates spaces worldwide for healing through storytelling, end-of-life care, and workshops on grief, resilience, unlocking the writer within, and radical empathy.

We talk about what it means to be a death doula and the powerful experiences Darnell has had sitting with people at the end of life. He shares tender moments, the meaningful conversations he believes we should be having about death, and how witnessing the end of life changes the way we see and live our own.

This episode is a reflection on love, presence, and the many ways people experience their final moments.

I encourage you to get a copy of his most recent book "Never Can Say Goodbye". It will change your life.
